The undergraduate athletic training program at the University of Miami is not admitting freshmen students at this time. Information on a two-year professional master’s degree program will be available soon.

The Bachelor of Science Athletic Training Degree is housed within the Department of Kinesiology and Sport Sciences and consists of a major field of study of 54 credits. This portion of the curriculum would largely encompass professional education courses designed to prepare students to become certified athletic trainers in the field.

The students will obtain clinical experiences in a variety of settings: college, high school, sports medicine clinics, and attempts will be made for professional sports and performing arts opportunities. Each student will be required to complete supervised clinical education rotations throughout their undergraduate program of study.

The Athletic Training Program at the University of Miami is an undergraduate program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). The Athletic Training program leads to eligibility to sit for the Board of Certification examination and to enter the profession of athletic training.
